I know this may not be a short trip but I wanted to just send you a link to an event our
club is sponsoring. It is an antique tractor restoration contest. It is meant to get young
people in the FFA into the activity of restoring these old machines. I am reaching out to
the major tractor clubs in hopes of getting the message out. Please pass this along to
anyone you may know who has a son or daughter in the FFA. The more entries we get into
this year's event will help us secure more money for the next. All the money we raise for this
event will be used as prize money. It is open to any high school FFA chapter who watns to enter.

Incredible Music Machine Prank: Computer Animation
A popular email going around features "an incredible machine built at the University of Iowa.
Amazingly, 97% of the machines components came from John Deere Industries and Irrigation
Equipment of Bancroft, Iowa. Yes, farm equipment. It took the team a combined 13,029 hours
of set-up, alignment, calibration, and tuning before filming this video but as you can see, it was
WELL worth the effort. The machine is now on display in the Matthew Gerhard Alumni Hall at
the University and is already slated to be donated to the Smithsonian."
